Join cool ned d and Ciao Bello for an evening of reed instruments, beats, bossa nova, and collaboration between the two artists. Nelson Devereaux contributed saxophone and flute to Ciao Bello's debut record, and he will be performing live with them for the first time tonight.

cool nel d is the beats/production alter ego of Nelson Devereaux. Devereaux is a Northeast Minneapolis–based multi-instrumentalist, touring musician, and session artist who has worked with artists including Bon Iver, Lizzo, Craig Finn, The Hold Steady, Mild High Club, This Is The Kit, Jungle, Paul Cherry, Layton Wu, and 9m88. In 2025, he was featured on Miley Cyrus’s Grammy-nominated record Something Beautiful, playing the saxophone solo on the single “More To Lose.” His latest release is reel mu$ic, which is out on Taiwanese supergroup Sunset Rollercoaster’s label, Sunset Music Co.

Ciao Bello is a Neo-Tropicalia duo comprised of Matthew Sandstedt (guitar, vocals) and Katharine Seggerman (drums, vocals) that re-interprets the jazz-inflected pop sounds of the 60s and 70s (bossa nova, psychedelic, etc.) through a modern lens. Its members have previously played in Twin Cities projects such as Lunch Duchess, Aesha Minor, Hayden Fox, Elle PF, White Boyfriend, and Aneuretical. The music resulting from their latest collaboration is stripped down, profane, and intimate –– nocturnal torch songs for the disillusioned that are still, y’know, fun.
